Columbia Business School - Center on Japanese Economy and Business
2013 Conference

CJEB held a conference entitled “Inequality, Fragmentation, and Integration in the World Economy” on March 21st, 2013. The keynote speech was by Joseph E. Stiglitz, a professor at Columbia University and recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Science (2001) and the Nobel Peace Prize (2007), followed by discussions on “Fault Lines in the World Economy” and “Japan and New Trade Agreements” by prominent figures in each field. Six members of our company participated in this year’s conference. It was a valuable two-way exchange as they asked questions to the panelist, communicated directly with Professor Stiglitz at the reception, and exchanged various opinions with other participants throughout the conference.
